Ramosomyia
Bird genus - Leucolia resurrected for these three Mexican species to avoid an overly broad Amazilia (McGuire et al. 2014; NACC 2020-A-03, 2020-D-01). Bruce & Stiles (2021) determined that the type species for Leucolia is Leucippus fallax and is thus not available for these three species formerly attributed to Leucolia. They propose a new genus, Ramosomyia: Stiles & Bruce, 2021, which has been subsequently adopted (NACC 2022-B-2; Chesser et al. 2022).
