Ixodia

Bird genus - Ixodia is resurrected here for a subclade within Clade B of Shakya & Sheldon (2017; where misspelled Ixodea) which is fairly deeply diverged genetically from other members of Clade B (now Rubigula) and deeply diverged from species in Pycnonotus s.s. The genus name Ixodia Blyth, 1845 is available and is not preoccupied by Ixodia Robert Brown, 1812 (Asteraceae) (R. Schodde, pers. comm.), hence there was no need for the replacement name Ixidia Blyth, 1846, which has nevertheless been used a few times after 1899.
