Bird genus - Phylogenetic analysis demonstrates that Eutrichomyias is a relictual member of the Lamproliinae (Jonsson et al. 2017). Here treated as a subfamily of Rhipiduridae (Irestedt et al. 2008; Jønsson et al. 2011; Norman et al. 2009b; Nyári et al. 2009; Schodde & Christidis 2014).
