Bird genus - Loriotus Jarocki, 1821 has precedence over Islerothraupis gen. nov. Burns et al., 2016 which was proposed for a clade of species formerly assigned to Tachyphonus but which is phylogenetically distinct (Burns et al. 2014, 2016; Piacentini et al. 2019; SACC 836; Chesser et al. 2020, NACC 2020-B-03).
